Terrain was amazing!
It was my first time being a part of something huge in the community, however I have volunteered for MAC events several times.
I loved everything about Terrain; the head-banging, ear-splitting music,
the very colorful people, and the amazing art. I especially loved tambourine man.

I was overwhelmed with the art because over 100 artists displayed their masterpieces
all throughout the old Music City Building in the heart of downtown
Spokane. I did not know where to look
first! But, there was one piece of art
that drew me in almost immediately. It
was on the third floor that also held the Artists Literature Park and where
they had a drawing competition between two teams.
This
specific piece is a huge installation that had a brick wall as its backdrop. When I first saw the piece, I loved the aspect
that it looked like someone just picked it up and smashed it onto the wall with
staples and a hot glue gun.

Its content
is spectacular. While I was pondering
this structure for a few minutes, I felt it had a sense of being disheveled and dumped in a pit of chaos. The piece’s use of
color is dramatic. There are pastel
pinks, corals, and a hint of turquoise in the main body of the work. There were many absolutely gorgeous works of art in every nook and cranny at Terrain and it was very hard to choose just one piece. I loved Terrain and its incredible sense of community.
